Barbara Noll is a native Texan and attended North Texas State University and majored in Art Ed.
While being wife and mother, Barbara occasionally took lessons, read art books and practiced using various methods and materials.
She learned to draw and paint and became an expert china painter,which led to owning her own company, Tiles Etc., where she painted custom decorative tile. This ten year venture taught her about commission sales, promoting her work and time management. It was enjoyable painting murals of many subjects.
Making a transition to oil or acrylic on canvas provided another exciting career in fine art. Her style is slightly impressionistic, again of a variety of subject matter. Barbara's use of color is beautiful in portraits, landscapes, or still life.
She has many honors, including: Winning first, second, and honorable mention awards in five juried shows. Winning "Best of Show" in two juried shows. Being past secretary of Midland Palette Club. Hosting two home studio art tours in Midland, Texas. Being published in newspapers and featured in the Observer blog by Glen Aaron. Having a solo show at the Midland Community Theater. Exhibiting with four other artists at Frame It Art Gallery Showing at Midland College with other creative artists. Was a member of Midland, Odessa, and Andrews, Texas guilds. Membership with five women artists, The Texas Art Beat ; having shows in Texas and possibly beyond.
Barbara Noll presently lives in Woodville, Texas, in piney east Texas. She enjoys painting the beautiful, hilly terrain there and enjoys being involved with the Tyler County Art League, Lufkin Art Guild and Lone Star Art Guild in Houston.
She will also accept commissions to oil paint you or your favorite place or memory.
